This year is the first year that I have felt really proud of my herb garden. Sure the last few years have seen some thriving basil and parsley, but I didn't really have much more than that. I wanted to give myself a really full herb garden so that I could begin familiarizing myself with different flavours, and, in turn, be able to experiment with those new flavours. Utilizing the fresh herbs from my garden has taken my cooking to a whole new level. So I took some pictures of my garden and labelled each herb so that, hopefully, you will be inspired to expand your herb garden and begin experimenting with new fresh herbs just as I have. What herb do you use most from your garden?
- Leeks
- Stevia
- Chamomile
- Lemon Balm
- Rue
- Sage
- Hyssop
- Sweet Basil
- Winter Savory
- Golden Marjoram
- Marjoram
- Peppermint
- Cilantro
- Chives
- Flat Leaf Parsley
- Tarragon
- Garden Sage
- Genovese Basil
- Rosemary
- Marjoram
- Camomile
- Curly Parsley
- Thyme
- Spearmint
- Oregano

Very impressive! Unfortunately I don't have a garden at the moment, but the herb that I'd really like to have on hand at all times is lemon thyme, for all kinds of desserts.
OK, I have to start with your herb garden - AWESOMMMMMME!! This is how non-green-thumbish I am - I didn't know you could have a whole herb garden, all in containers and not in the ground. I can do containers!!! Can I do them all year round, or should I start in the spring, or what??? Please do tell - I've always wanted to do that and you've just inspired me.
Second, I've never had gargonzola cheese so can you describe it for me? If it's like bleu (blue?) cheese, I won't like it, but if it's like anything else I probably will. Do tell. Did I mention before, I love it here????
May I please just say WOWSER!! That is one awesome herb garden. I had lots of luck with mine this year too, but yours definitely has more selection. Fantastic!
this really puts me to shame. i just grow basil and rosemary

I am completely jealous of your garden. I live in an apartment so I can't have one.
Very impressive list of herbs!
I am so jelous! It is just gorgeous!
Nice Job! So jealous!
Wow! Your garden is insane I love it!!!
Thanks everyone!!
The imPerfect Housewife: Thank you so much! Containers are great for growing herbs! I have had soooo much better luck since I switched to the containers last year. I start in the spring because they freeze in the winter. But some are perennials I would think they would be alright to plant now. To be honest I am verrrrry very new to gardening, it is only through the herb garden that I have begun learning a bit.
Gorgonzola is a type of bleu cheese, so you may substitute it in this recipe, but by the sound of it, you wouldnt like that very much lol. Thanks so much for your lovely comment!!
